Soloflex does barbell and free body exercises, the most important kind of weight lifting exercises! These exercises engage 40-50% more muscle than single limb exercises. Because of the heavier weights used, barbell and free body exercises are considerably more hypertrophic than handweight and cable type exercises.

Home gyms modeled on single limb exercises leave out the best exercise. Single limb exercises require lighter weights due to their inherent instability and lack of muscle engagement. They aren't nearly as effective for building muscle or endurance.
